Obsidian Bases Sources Kit: Sources Base + Web Clipper Templates

Obsidian Bases + Web Clipper Kit
We consume more information than ever before, from more types of content than have ever been available. This combination makes it easy to find valuable information, but hard to keep track of it.

Modern knowledge work in the corporate & creator economies has changed how we must deal with information, so that we are not overwhelmed – Information Overload. We need a way to keep track of the signals we find so they do not get lost in the noise.

Thankfully, with this increase in information & sources comes better tools to capture that information and organize it so we can turn it into knowledge, IF we have the systems set up to do so.

Welcome to my Obsidian Sources Base & Web Clipper Kit 🚀✨

To help manage this overwhelming amount of information, I have developed a new Sources Base using the Obsidian Bases Core Plugin (now available for everyone!) that pairs perfectly with the Obsidian Web Clipper Extension.

Use the Web Clipper to extract the information from your sources (websites, blogs, articles, YouTube, ChatGPT, Consensus, Perplexity, NotebookLM, and more). Then, use the Sources Base to automatically index and organize that captured information for you.

You’ll never lose an important research note again and you’ll be able to effortlessly organize your research by content type (videos, articles, websites, AI chats) so that you can always continue where you left off.

The core files in this bundle are:

  1. Sources.base (the Sources database with all views, filters, and properties preset)
  2. Web Clipper Core Templates (Articles, YouTube, ChatGPT, NotebookLM, Perplexity, Consensus, Goodreads).

I’ve designed the system to be modular, so you can pick and choose the style you resonate with most, knowing that the pieces are all interconnected automatically through the incredible Bases Plugin. The goal of this system is for you to have a starting point to build out your own source tracking systems. You do not need to use all aspects of the system for it to be effective, the design is completely up to you!

Note: Bases has been released to everyone 🎉 Make sure your Obsidian is updated to at least version 1.9.10 to get the Bases Core Plugin.
