ART
In 2022, I minted my first NFT collection, Begin, Again. Since 2022, I have been minting my art onto blockchain.
Below, you can find links to all of my NFT collections.
Genesis: Begin, Again
Begin, Again is a story of rediscovery that transcends time. A story that ties a half-remembered dream to one of the most incredible moments of my life in a way that has forever changed the exploration of my future.
Begin, Again is a story of hope in a better future, of becoming a better version of ourselves by taking the time to pay attention to our lives in a way that promotes positive mental health and acceptance of who we were, are, and can be.
To begin again, we need only take a deep breath, exhale, and try. Read the full story on the collection here. This is a collection of 1/1.

Renewal
This collection is a symbol of the concept that small, consistent changes can lead to drastic improvements over time. Each time I shot the moon, I was able to improve the quality of the shot and better capture the moment as I remembered it. Read the full story on the Renewal collection here. This is a collection of 1/1.
Momentum
There are moments in our lives when we feel lost, uncertain of the direction we are going. It can feel as though we are in a free fall, unable to control where we are headed next.
Sometimes, all it takes is a shift in perspective to realize that we are not falling aimlessly. We are instead building momentum so we can soar higher than before.

Earth's Shadow
After months of shooting the full moon for practice, I was finally ready for my first attempt at a lunar eclipse. I had dreamed of seeing a lunar eclipse since I was a child, finding the concept of the moon moving into the Earth’s shadow and turning red to be a fascinating phenomenon. As an adult, I was even more excited to witness and memorialize this historic event.
The longest partial lunar eclipse across a range of 1229 years, it was the longest since February 18, 1440. We won’t see another partial lunar eclipse this long until February 8, 2669.
An eclipse occurs when the moon moves into the Earth’s shadow, the umbra. A partial lunar eclipse occurs when the moon does not fully enter the umbra, with at least a sliver remaining outside of the darkness.
I spent a magical night from 2 am to 7 am watching the moon disappear into the Earth’s shadow only to be reborn into the light.
Total Solar Eclipse 2024
Minted on the actual solar eclipse, April 8, 2024.
I feel incredibly grateful to have been able to witness the 2024 solar eclipse today in Canada.
Here is a series of unedited photos, animated to show the moment of totality.
Despite the clouds, I managed to get some clear shots of totality, a moment of awe that will stay in my mind’s eye for the rest of my life.
With so many people in the world unable to see this incredible event, I wanted to create something so that you could experience a sliver of the awe that I felt in that moment.
The video is timed to be a breathing guide to reduce anxiety and increase mindfulness.

Prominenced Totality
One week ago, totality began. I spent the next 3.5 minutes in a state of pure awe, watching as the moon eclipsed the sun.
Here is a series of unedited photos, animated to show the dynamic range of totality.
The music/sound was created by petercloud.eth, including actual raw sound from the surface of the sun and a breath of Peter’s.
During totality, the sun is revealed in ways I have never before seen in my life, with both the corona and prominences.
The sun is WAY bigger than you think, with the corona stretching far out into the solar system, hotter than the surface of the sun.
At the surface, prominences (pink plasma) loop out into space and back to the sun.
I could see both the corona and the prominences with my naked eyes.
I hope this helps share some of the awe I felt in that moment.
The animation is timed to be a breathing guide to reduce anxiety and increase mindfulness.
The full story on this photographic experience can be found in my newsletter entry 43: Reflections on a Total Solar Eclipse, and you can mint the NFT on Zora.

At Altitude 🏔️✨
The Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) is often thought of as being a deep green colour. In Norway, people refer to it as the “green dragon” 🐉 . The colour comes from oxygen molecules being excited by radiation from the sun.
But sometimes, the strength of the sun’s radiation is such that the oxygen is excited in layers, stretching across a full range of altitude.
Red, Green, Violet, Blue, a full spectrum of colour can appear during the strongest storms.
Being in the mountains of Jasper, at the time of one of the greatest solar storms in 20 years, gave me an incredible opportunity to see the full spectrum of colour at altitude ✨

Full Spectrum 🔵
In one of the most incredible moments of my life, I experienced a full spectrum of the awe of the Aurora Borealis.
When I first saw the greens appear in the sky, I was incredibly humbled by the sheer magnificence of nature. Little did I know that the show was about to get taken to a whole new level.
The sky above me flickered strangely, something was changing. Suddenly, as if a portal had opened, the sky exploded with light right above my head, releasing a full spectrum of colour across the night.
I was amazed at the colours that appeared, never expecting to see such a full spectrum of light.
It was truly amazing and humbling – a night I’ll never forget ✨

A Dream Come True ✨
Witnessing the Aurora Borealis was a dream of mine for as long as I could remember.
Living in southern Canada, it is an extremely rare occurrence for the Aurora to appear, especially in Toronto, where the light pollution makes it impossible. I always dreamed of travelling north and being lucky enough to witness this incredible natural phenomenon.
A few weeks ago, I travelled to Jasper, one of Canada’s largest dark sky preserves.
As luck would have it, I was camping with a panoramic view of the mountains at the same time that the Earth was struck by the greatest solar storm in 20 years.
What are the odds that I was in one of the darkest places in the world, at the same time the Earth was hit with the solar storm of the millennia, with perfectly clear skies?
My mind was absolutely blown as I looked every direction, watching the swirling colours as the sky was painted with an ever-changing rainbow of photons energized by the sun 🌈
It was a dream come true ✨

Over The Mountain Green 🏔️🟢✨
Over The Mountain Green 🏔️🟢✨
While my dream may have come true to see the Aurora, I was a bit confused: where was the green? As the sky exploded with colour, most of it was pink and blue.
In almost all photos I had ever seen, the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) was a beautiful green colour, snaking across the sky as it moved through space and time. My friends in Scandinavia even call it the “Green Dragon” 🐉
Thankfully, I was not to be disappointed. As the pinks and blues faded away, new shards of green emerged, twinkling across the sky. But this was not the green dragon, this was something different. A deep ocean of green, stretching like prismatic waves across the mountainous skyline.
It was incredibly surreal experience to watch the entire night sky burst into green, showering me and everything around me with brilliant emerald light 🏔️🟢✨
And the show was just getting started 👀

Radiant Jasper 🇨🇦 ✨
A night I will never forget, the ethereal prisms of light dancing across the forested mountains of one of my favourite places in the world ✨
This campground was actually burned down a few years ago and was rebuilt over the last year. I’m not sure if it survived the fires this month, but I am sure that Jasper will bounce back as it always does 🇨🇦
